5 TIPS! for your clients during Lash Shed
Do you also notice that your clients' lashes are falling out faster than usual? That may have to do with the Autumn Lash Shed. Which has to do with the change of season.
What is Autumn Lash Shed?
The body reacts to the drop in temperature and eyelashes fall out faster than normal. As it gets colder and the power of sunlight decreases, the eyelashes fall out. The Lash Shed occurs 2 times a year, in the fall and spring. As the temperature changes, the eyelashes fall out. As a result, clients with lash extensions may find that they need to come back sooner for a refill appointment.
What can you expect during the Lash Shed?
The Lash Shed lasts about 6 weeks and then lash loss returns to normal. During this period, your clients will need a bit more frequent refill appointments. Normally we lose around 2-3 lashes per day. In this period there will be a little more and when your client wears eyelash extensions it will be extra noticeable.

What can you give your clients as tips?
- Keep clean, gentle regular cleansing helps keep lashes healthy. For this, use our Cleansing Foam.
- Inform your clients after the treatment and through social media about the upcoming period when the eyelashes will fall out faster.
- Eat healthy and get enough vitamins to stimulate hair growth.
- Use our Lash Coating for longer retention of eyelash extensions.
Advise that during this period the client should have the lashes filled in more often to maintain a beautiful result.
What can you do yourself as a stylist?
As a stylist, you have no influence on the Lash Shed, but you can ensure that the extensions that are still in place maintain a good retention and therefore stay in place better. For this you can use our Maximise Bond which ensures maximum retention of the lashes. Our Speed Lash Accelerator is also highly recommended, it ensures that the glue of the lash extensions cures extra fast. See how to use these products? Click here.
