Ombre Powder Brows is the newest and most refined technique in semi-permanent eyebrow makeup. Using a machine and a fine needle that rapidly moves up and down in the first and second layers of skin, a beautiful, natural powder effect is achieved.

De behandeling
Before the treatment begins, your wishes will be discussed in detail and the stylist will explain the entire treatment procedure. The consent form will also be reviewed with you.
After that, she will proceed with pre-drawing the eyebrows, naturally taking into account your wishes and the shape of your face.
Only after you are satisfied with the pre-drawn eyebrows will she start with the Powder Brows treatment. During the treatment, hygiene and safety are paramount, which is why we fully follow the GGD guidelines.
The treatment takes 2 to 2.5 hours and is virtually painless. Within 6 to 8 weeks you should return for the follow-up treatment (included in the price).
Verzorging
It is important that the pigmentation heals as quickly as possible. A number of factors are important for this:
- The healing time of a cosmetic tattoo or permanent make-up is approximately 1 week
- General health and physical condition play a role
- Personal hygiene is necessary during the healing time of the cosmetic tattoo or permanent make-up
Absolutely necessary
Follow the instructions below carefully to ensure an optimal healing process. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact your specialist.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not wet the eyebrows for the first 72 hours after the treatment.
Day 1
Every two hours, apply a thin layer of ointment that you received (from the practitioner) or that he or she recommends to you. Apply this with a clean cotton swab.
Cover the eyebrows with cling film on the first night after the treatment to protect the eyebrows during sleep. If the treatment takes place late in the afternoon or in the evening, perform the above action before going to sleep.
Three days after the treatment, you should wash your eyebrows before going to bed. You do this with clean hands and water, washing your eyebrows with light pressing circular movements. Then apply a thin layer of ointment with a clean cotton swab.
In the next 7 days, you should wash at least twice a day and apply the ointment 5 times a day.
When washing your face, be careful with your eyebrows, do not rub but dab them.
Avoid after treatment
Day 1 to 7
- Do not apply any cream (day/night cream) to the eyebrows except for the ointment you received (from the practitioner).
- Keep the eyebrows moist; if you do not follow this correctly, scabs will form, and these should not form as they will pull the pigment out of the skin.
- Do not apply makeup to the eyebrows.
- Avoid sports that cause heavy sweating during the first week.
- Do not go to the sauna, swimming pool, or sunbed studio.
- During this period: no steam or massage near the face.
- Do not apply sunscreen to the eyebrows.
- Do not expose the pigmentation to sunlight.
- You must not scratch or pick at the pigmentation.
The first 30 days
- A visit to the swimming pool, solarium, and/or sauna is discouraged.
- No facial treatments, no (fruit acid) peels, no microdermabrasion, no creams with growth factors, no laser treatments (this can affect the pigmented skin, leading to pigment loss/burns).
- Do not use antibiotics and hormonal treatments, as these can affect the durability of the pigment (faster fading).
- Use sunscreen when going outdoors, note: only after the 7th day.
Contact a doctor if there is extreme redness, swelling, bleeding, wound fluid, change in color, or chronic pain.
Healingproces
Dag 2 - 6: Korstvorming, donkere kleur, afschilferen.
Dag 6 - 14: Roodheden, pigmentverlies, zeer lichte kleur, vorm veel minder zichtbaar.
Dag 14 - 50: Kleur komt steeds meer terug, roodheid trekt weg.
- Na de eerste sessie is er een kleurverlies van ongeveer 60 - 70%
- Na de tweede sessie is er een kleurverlies van ongeveer 30 - 40%

How long does the treatment take?
De basisbehandeling van de (S)PMU Ombre Powder Brows duurt ongeveer 2,5 uur. Dit is inclusief de uitleg, het uitmeten en voortekenen van wenkbrauwen en het zetten. De touch-up duurt ongeveer 1,5 uur.
Can I choose the shape and colour myself?
Jouw wensen worden voorafgaand aan de behandeling besproken. Je kunt dus zelf aangeven welke vorm/kleur je mooi vindt, hoe dik je de wenkbrauwen wilt etc. Het is van groot belang dat je dit voor aanvang van de behandeling onderzoekt en voorbereid naar de afspraak komt. Wij tekenen de gewenste vorm eerst uit, dit kan aangepast worden totdat jij tevreden bent. Dan zal de Ombre Powder Brows behandeling worden gestart. Ook kunnen we ervoor kiezen om de eerste behandeling de kleur wat lichter aan te zetten, mocht je het spannend vinden qua resultaat. Dan kun je bij de touch-up nog donkerder gaan, indien gewenst.
On holiday after treatment?
Het is niet slim om vlak voor je zonvakantie Ombre Powder Brows te laten zetten, dit omdat de eerste 5 dagen na de behandeling je wenkbrauwen niet in contact mogen komen met zon en chloorwater. Na behandeling wordt aangeraden om niet in contact te komen met direct zonlicht er wordt aangeraden een hoed/cape/zonnebril te dragen. Indien je deze voorgeschreven bescherming niet op correcte wijze nakomt zul je een stuk minder lang plezier hebben van de gepigmenteerde wenkbrauwen dan een ander persoon.
A treatment is not recommended in the following cases (relative contraindications):
- Na een behandeling met botox/fillers dien je minstens 8 weken te wachten met het plaatsen van (S)PMU.
- Bij diabetes (suikerziekte) is (S)PMU in sommige gevallen af te raden doordat wondheling bij sommige patiënten niet optimaal is. De meeste mensen met diabetes hebben echter een normale wondgenezing en kunnen de behandeling dus gewoon uitvoeren.
- Bij mensen met hemofilie (bloedstollingsziekte) kunnen er snel blauwe plekken en spontane bloedingen ontstaan waardoor er een grotere kans op nabloedingen is.
- Chronische huidziekten zoals psoriasis, eczeem en vitiligo kunnen een Köbner fenomeen veroorzaken. Deze huidziekte kan zich verplaatsen naar een plek waar (S)PMU
heeft plaatsgevonden. - Mensen met een immuunstoornis lopen een groter risico op infecties. Een infectie kan het eindresultaat van de (S)PMU beïnvloeden.
- Bij het gebruik van antistollingsmiddelen, zoals Enoxaparine (Clexane®), fenprocoumon (Marcoumar), acenocoumarol (Sintrom), Nadroparine (Fraxiparine®), Dalteparine (Fragmin®), rivaroxaban (Xarelto®), dabigatran (Pradaxa®), apixaban (Eliquis®) en edoxaban (Lixiana®) zorgen ervoor dat het bloed dun blijft en niet (snel) stolt. Dit heeft effect op de mate waarin het pigment in de huid blijft zitten. Mensen met een hart- en vaatafwijking gebruiken vaak antistollingsmiddelen, let hier dus goed op.
- Het gebruik van corticosteroïden (tabletten) zorgt vaak voor een vertraagde wondgenezing en een dunne kwetsbare huid. Dit kan het eindresultaat van de (S)PMU-behandeling beïnvloeden.
- Bij gebruik van roaccutane (isotretinoïde tabletten), deze medicijnen worden soms bij acne voorgeschreven. Tot een half jaar na behandeling wordt gadviseeerd geen (S)PMU-behandeling te ondergaan, wegens een mogelijkheid op hypertrofische litteken en/of pigmentatieafwijkingen.
In deze gevallen adviseren wij jou om eerst contact op te nemen met de behandeld arts. Geeft hij/zij een akkoord om jou de (S)PMU-behandeling te laten ondergaan? Hiervoor vragen
wij jou om ons een schriftelijke toezegging van jouw behandeld arts te overleggen. Zonder deze toestemming zal de behandeling niet worden uitgevoerd.
Treatment is not possible in the following cases (absolute contraindications):
- Bij koorts
- Bij huidkanker in het behandelgebied.
- Wanneer het te behandelen gebied het afgelopen jaar plastische chirurgie of bestraling heeft ondergaan.
- Wanneer het te behandelen gebied een litteken bevat dat minder dan 6 maanden oud is.
- Wanneer er minder dan 6 weken geleden (S)PMU is gezet.
- Wanneer er op/rondom de plek van de (S)PMU-behandeling is gelaserd of de laserwond niet genezen is.
- Wanneer het te behandelen gebied een geïrriteerde huid heeft zoals bultjes, donkere moedervlekken of zwellingen.
- Indien je zwanger bent of borstvoeding geeft.
Hoe oud moet ik zijn om een behandeling te mogen ondergaan?
We hanteren een minimumleeftijd van 18 jaar voor salonbehandelingen; hiervoor dient u een leeftijdsverklaring in te vullen. Vanaf 12 jaar wordt toegang verleend onder toestemming van een ouder of voogd, en diegene dient het document te ondertekenen. Let op: Voor (S)PMU-behandelingen blijft de minimale leeftijdsgrens van 18 jaar van kracht.
